Vegan Soy Curl Caesar Salad and Cheesy Breadsticks

My favorite salad has always been Caesar salad. There was a time that it was the only thing I ever ate when I would go out to lunch. If I ever ordered something else, I ended up regretting not getting the Caesar salad.

Caesar dressing is just so good. C'est d'épaisseur, crémeux, salé et délicieux. It was probably the only way anchovies ever got into me. My favorite way to have Caesar salad was with grilled chicken on top and the dressing on the side. As soon as I became vegan, I had to make a vegan version of a grilled chicken Caesar salad. No anchovies. No raw eggs. No chicken. I came up with this Grillé “Poulet” Caesar Salad with Croutons. Plus tard, Je ai fait une Thai Salade César which put an exotic spin on an old favorite.

This time my Caesar salad is being made even more delicious with Butler Foods Soy Curls, one of my favorite products in the world. It is my goal to make 100 recipes with soy curls and I’m about a third of the way there already.

First I cooked up the soy curls to be crisp and delicious. Then I have to try hard not to eat them while I make the rest of the meal. That’s why I always make extra soy curls. I know I have no willpower around them. Hey, at least I’m honest about it.

I made my Caesar dressing which uses seaweed flakes and vegan Worcestershire sauce in place of the anchovies. C'est d'épaisseur, creamy and so good!

The salad is traditionally made with Romaine and then I add tomatoes, oignons rouges, black olives and whatever I feel like throwing into it. When I have crispy soy curls, there’s no need for croutons.

Je l'ai, cependant, make something better than croutons. J'avais l'habitude Mme. Glee’s Foods Gluten-Free Pizza and Breadsticks Mix et Follow Your Heart’s Garden Herb Vegan Cheese to make cheesy bread sticks. Mme. Glee de makes amazing gluten-free flours and pastas with navy bean flour. Follow Your Heart Vegan Cheese is so good and just proves that it’s a whole new era of vegan cheese.

So easy – just follow the package directions to make the dough, then spread it out on a baking sheet. Score the dough into bread stick shapes and bake for 12 minutes ou plus.

Top with vegan cheese and bake another 5 minutes or so until the cheese melts. Then break apart and eat. Yum!

Vegan Soy Curl Caesar Salad

For the Soy Curls:---------------

1 paquet Butler Soy Curls

2 c. la poudre d'ail

2 c. de cumin moulu

2 c. paprika

2 c. origan séché

1 c. sel casher

½ cuillère à café. poivre noir

Huile végétale pour friture

For the Caesar Dressing­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­:

3 Tbs. vegan mayo

1 Tbs. jus de citron

2 gousses d'ail

2 c. vegan, sauce Worcestershire sans gluten

1 c. la poudre d'oignon

2 c. De moutarde de Dijon

2 c. dulce ou varech flocons

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Sel casher à déguster

For the Caesar Salad­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­

1 grande ou 2 petites têtes de laitue romaine, coupé en lambeaux

1 petit oignon rouge, tranchés

1 -2 tomates, haché

1 cup black olives

Poivre noir

To Make the Soy Curls: Empty the soy curls into a bowl and cover with hot water. Laisser reposer 10 minutes jusqu'à tendreté. Drain and squeeze out any excess water. Pat dry and toss with the garlic powder, cumin, paprika, origan, sel et poivre. Dans une grande poêle, faire chauffer l'huile à feu moyen-élevé. Cook the soy curls until browned and crisp on both sides, sur 7 minutes au total. Transférer dans une assiette et mettre de côté.

To make the Caesar Dressing: In a food processor or blender, combiner la mayonnaise, jus de citron, ail, Sauce Worcestershire, la poudre d'oignon, moutarde et dulce flocons. Bien mélanger. Ajouter l'huile et le sel et mélanger jusqu'à ce que vous avez le goût désiré et la cohérence.

To make the Caesar Salad: Mélanger la salade, oignon, tomatoes and olives in a large bowl. Add the soy curls on top of the salad. Season with black pepper and grated parmesan. Serve with Caesar dressing on the side.
