Rápido & Molho de maçã festiva com canela e cravo

Acabei de publicar 9 receitas diferentes para latkes e 5 receitas de molhos e cremes. Mas onde está o molho de maçã, meu condimento favorito para latkes? Latkes sem molho de maçã???? NOOOOOO!!!

Relaxar. Aqui está uma rápida (estamos falando 20 minutos no máximo) e molho de maçã festivo. É rico, sweet from the apples and a little brown sugar, tart from a hint of lemon juice and delicious from cinnamon and cloves. It smells as wonderful as it tastes.

If you use sweet apples, you may not need sugar at all. I only add tart green apples so I added 1 Tbs. of brown sugar. You can adjust it to your own sweet taste. I usually buy unsweetened apple sauce so I didn’t need a lot of sugar. I like the look and the taste of some peel in my sauce so I didn’t worry about getting every bit of peel off.

This recipe has just 6 ingredientes. No added apple cider or apple juice. What for? To make it taste like apples? That’s what the apples do! My Fast and Festive Apple Sauce is so delicious, I may never buy jarred apple sauce again. Desfrutar!

Rápido & Molho de maçã festiva com canela e cravo

4 maçãs grandes, descascado, cored e picado


1 Tbs. azeite de oliva extra-virgem


½ colher de chá. canela


¼ colher de chá. cravo em pó


1 Tbs. açúcar mascavo


1 TSP. suco de limão

Prepare the apples. Heat the oil in a small saucepan. Saute the diced apples in the oil for 3-4 atas. Add the cinnamon and cloves. Cover the pot and let cook until the apples are tender, sobre 15-20 atas. Add water, se necessário. When the apples are tender, decide if you want to add sugar. If you do, start with ½ Tbs. of brown sugar and use up to 1 Tbs. Cook until the sugar dissolves. Desligue o fogo. Mexer em 1 TSP. of lemon juice. Deixe esfriar. Refrigerate if you want to eat it chilled.

    I was going to make one of your wonderful latke variations tonight. Ai, I didn’t have time, but I did have time to make this, which was a lovely side dish to a take-out entree. There’s enough for tomorrow night’s latkes. 🙂

    I got a Vitamix for Chanukah last year but I haven’t used it yet. I like doing things by hand. I hate gadgets other than my TofuXpress 🙂 Thanks for the tips!!

    If you have a Vitamix you can toss the washed, cored (but not peeled) apples in it with just a tiny bit of water to get it going. Voila in 30 seconds you have apple sauce. A little lemon juice will keep it from going brown and 1/2-1 tsp of cinnamon will make it sweet. Yum! If you have a dehydrator any leftovers can be made into fruit leather.
